An audience of over 60 interested people attended the sign unveiling, groundbreaking and information presentation about Wanaka Retirement Village in that lakeside town yesterday.
John Wilson, Deputy Mayor of the Queenstown Lakes District Council, wished Presbyterian Support Otago success, saying he was 'very confident' the venture would go well. He felt the Village would attract not just local residents but people from outside the area as well, which was 'good for the town'.
Chief Executive Gillian Bremner introduced prospective Village residents to the architect, builder and sales agents of the development, and to Elmslie House Manager, Penny Fisher, who will also manage the Village. Professionals Wanaka Wide Realty says interest from people wanting to be the first residents in the complex, has been high.
